Climate Walk was awarded the Bodily Kinesthetic Intelligence Award at the 6th Multiple Intelligence Awards
The campaign “Climate Walk: A People’s Walk for Climate Justice,” hosted a 40-day, 857-km walk from Manila to ground zero of super typhoon Haiyan, Tacloban. Organized by climate advocates from different civic groups, the activity served to remind everyone about the tragedy of super typhoon Yolanda in the Philippines and to raise awareness on the ill effects of the global climate crisis.
The Multiple Intelligence Awards was started in 2005 and has been a national search for individuals who have used their “SMARTS” to make a difference. This biennial awarding ceremony has been cited in the international publications: “Multiple Intelligences: New Horizons” (Basic Books 2006) and “Multiple Intelligences Around the World” (Jossey Bass, 2009).

Om Shanti – Om Shanti is a Vedic Mantra that has a philosophical meaning. Om is a Hindu symbol that is believed to be the sound of the whole cosmic manifestation, and Shanti means “Peace”. ‘Om Shanti’ means peace for all human kind, peace for all living and non-living beings, peace for the universe, peace for each and everything in this whole cosmic manifestation
Om Shanti Shoal – Music, they say, connects people together notwithstanding culture and language. It is the language everyone understands; it has the power to penetrate the soul and bring peace. And we all hope and long for peace, especially today where there is chaos and political struggle between the Philippines and the Republic Of China (Taiwan) on the ownership of Scarborough Shoal. While there have been calls for war, Nityalila, a Filipino, and Chung Yufeng, a Taiwanese, will come together to show the world that music can bring people together amidst differences and that it is always the path of peace that we should follow.

C. MONEY & HONEY, 2011 – 2012
Taipei, Taiwan
A Collaborative project with Director Jasmine LEE Ching-Hui
http://moneyandhoney.pixnet.net/blog
The songs “Kailan?” (When?) and “No Money No Honey” were written and composed by Nityalila for the documentary film, Money & Honey. “Kailan?” was used for the film’s trailer and for the film itself. The song, “No Money No Honey” was used as the film’s official theme song.
Money and Honey depicts the lives of Filipina caregivers who look after the elderly in a nursing home in Taiwan. Being away from their loved ones, the migrant workers, as well as the elderly suffer from homesickness. In the flow of life, stories of joy and sorrow take place.
